Puyallup (pew-all-up) settled and named by Ezra Meeker. Puyallup means “generous people” and couldn’t be more of an indication of this big town. Home of the Puyallup (now Western Washington) fair. Puyallup is a central location between Tacoma and Seattle and nestled in a valley. The fertile lahar soil has provided for generations of farmers. Each Summer Farmer’s markets and Music at the Park is hosted in the center of town (Pioneer Park) weekly.
